The new tuneable and pulsed laser is installed! A beautiful new gadget has arrived in the new lab. With this new spectrometer and CCD we can do twice as much work! The group is advertising to hire two Early Stage Researchers (ESR) for the LasIonDef project (Laser Fabrication and Ion Implantation of Defects as Quantum Emitters) at Cardiff’s School of Engineering. The project is funded as an European Commission’s Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Network (ITN) and involves teams in Italy, Germany, France and Poland working on novel quantum emitters in materials such as diamond, gallium nitride and boron nitride . The positions will lead to the award of a PhD.
